Tor was the main man at Happy Guesthouse working for Fritz. He works long hours but never ceases to smile at everyone he deals with. His kind, calm nature really makes him an asset to the business. He led our impromptu tour South of Pai and he is such a natural, on a bike, with the people he meets and with his gang of tourists. He explained a little of his life story when asked by us and it really is remarkable how people can have such a happy outlook on life when some people have a tougher start than others. Tor was an orphan from a young age. He lost his older brother to an accident and is has one sister left, but she is married and lives a good distance away. Tor walked over 200km to go to school near Pai. Later he spent time in the army, as a monk and now finds himself working in a guesthouse. We reckon Happy Guesthouse is a much happier place with Tor there. Thank you Tor from all of us!
Tor – what a Thai Guy!
